Hello, and Welcome!

My Young & Old Fur Babies Rescue (MYOFB) is a 501(c)(3) in Woodsfield, Ohio. We rescue puppy mill dogs, owner turn ins, from shelters and special needs dogs and animals. Most of the dogs we take in have no physical issues, some of our babies have congenital conditions that need surgeries or other issues that require a lot of veterinary care and special attention. We take homeless animals, that the previous owners can no longer care for.

About Our Animals

Puppy mill dogs are so wonderful! They're often very pleasant and appreciate your care so much. You'll be amazed at how they are willing to move forward and forget their horrible past. The most common "issue" with puppy mill dogs is lack of socialization, but luckily they flourish in loving, patient homes.

Special needs animals can be very expensive for us, but they are so worth it! With a lot of time, love and care, these babies make quite amazing pets. Our adoption fees help cover veterinary bills and surgeries for our special needs animals.

Adoption Fees

Our sole finances come from adoption fees - we do not receive ANY state or county funds. Adoption fees are what we use to cover food, treats, toys and cozy bedding for all of our animals. They also cover common veterinary bills, such as spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, dental exams, hernia repairs, flea/tick/heart worm prevention, surgeries, and any other medical needs that the animals may have.

Ready to Adopt?

We're so happy that you're interested in adopting a new fur baby from us. We put a lot of love, care, time and money into all of our animals, so we're looking for amazing, trustworthy and responsible adoptive parents. All of your pets must be  kept current on yearly vaccinations, monthly preventatives,  spayed/neutered to adopt from us.

Your first step toward adopting one of our animals is to fill out an online application

We will be happy to answer any and all questions, but please be patient and persistent. There are just not enough hours in the day to respond to all of the inquiries. You can try reaching us via phone at (740) 472-9828 ,  M-F 9-5. Please, no calls on evening & holidays,  be considerate. But, you will only be considered if you put an application on the animal you are interested in. We will call you if you are chosen to adopt.  Animals are removed as they are adopted.

Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation!

Best,

Vicki Groves
